On Tuesday evening September 20, 2011 around 1830 hrs the members of the fire company gathered, awaiting two special people. Brian Farrell the brother of Terry Farrell, along with Tim Lohan (from Pennsylvania Chapter) came to accept a donation from the fire company to the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund.
Members canvased areas of Plainsboro days before and asked businesses to put up flyers for the car wash, and so many were eager to help. The members are very grateful for the continued support of so many of our local businesses throughout the area.
The morning of Sept. 10th started out partly sunny but quickly became overcast, with a threat of rain and a little sprinkle here and there. One by one the members caught the attention of passing motorists and soon the suds were flying and cars were being washed. It was an amazing experience to see how many people showed up despite the clouds and threat of rain. When it was all said and done the members had collected $2011 dollars for the car wash. Even in the tough economic times we are all facing it was nice to know the community was out there to support us in our venture. This was not to benefit our fire company but to benefit countless others in need of help. It's just another way of BROTHERS helping BROTHERS!
